His whole philosophy is to be bi-lingual, meaning that we need to understand the Bible in order to talk with fellow Christians, but also understand history and science. You can't battle someone who is secular (an atheist) with the Bible if they reject the authority of it. Battle them using the information they accept as truth.
He doesn't encourage going out of your way to debate them, but when Christianity comes under attack, he gives great insight into how to counteract, and he explains the newest tactics being used in the fight.
We're dealing with a deeper level of evil and hatred against Christianity than ever before.
He makes such valid points, and I really admire his unique perspective!
